"I have been lucky enough to play in the Michael Rusciolelli Memorial Golf Tournament for the last several years. Quite honestly, I can tell you it is nothing short of amazing how Michael's family and friends continue to celebrate his life and honor his memory.

Each year I have watched how Osbourn Park alumni reconnect and remember good times. This tournament, the incredible people involved, and the memory of Michael Rusciolelli epitomizes everything we believe in at our school. In fact, the tournament is a great example for what we mean when we say, "Once a Jacket, Always a Jacket."

It is a special day and I am proud to be able to participate."

Osbourn Park High School

Welcome! Thank you for visiting the Michael Rusciolelli Memorial Golf Tournament site. Special thanks goes to the former principal of Osbourn Park, Tim Healy, who gave us permission to add this link to his host site.

The Michael Rusciolelli Memorial Golf Tournament was established in 1996, one year after the untimely death of my youngest brother. The summer following his 1995 graduation from Osbourn Park, Mike was killed in a tragic car accident. The loss affected his family and community deeply, and we all felt a need to find ways to honor his memory. The origin of the MRM can be linked to my good friend and golfing buddy, Sean O'Shields (OPHS '86). He suggested we host an event and donate the money back to Osbourn Park.

In August of 1996, the First Annual MRM was unveiled. With a rain-shortened 15-hole tournament a winner was crowned, and $1800 was raised and donated to Osbourn Park High School. Since then, the MRM has been played every summer - a wonderful opportunity to remember Mike and to bring together the friends, family, and community.

In 2011, we played the sixteenth annual tournament. Through the years, over $80,000 has been raised for Osbourn Park. This has been a wonderful event that has meant so much to our family and friends. While geared toward alums of our great school, we have opened the invitation to all who want to participate, and the experience has grown even richer and more enjoyable. Whether you want to play, sponsor, or donate, we greatly appreciate your interest and your support of Osbourn Park. Please read on and contact me with any questions or interests that you may have.

  Thank you again!

John Rusciolelli (OPHS ’87)
